Job status

The status indicates the progress of a given job. Here are the steps (in bold), and the real life actions that happen between each.

  • You are creating an order >> New

  • The racquet is received from the customer >> Received

  • The materials to perform the work have been secured >> Working

  • The work has been completed >> Complete

  • The racquet is picked up or delivered >> Delivered

With each of these stages, a time stamp is recorded, so you will know when each step was taken.

Ready for Work screen

The all important move from Received to Working will bring up a special screen. There, you'll be able to (optionally):

  • take strings from inventory
  • add strings to the bill

Taking from inventory

Taking strings from inventory requires that:

  • strings be defined on the job
  • you are tracking inventory for that string
  • you have enough inventory

If strings are not defined, or you are not tracking inventory for that string, or you don't have enough in inventory, the checkbox will be greyed out.

In some cases, you may want to proceed without taking from your inventory. A good example is when customers supply their own strings for the job.

Adding strings to the bill

When items are taken from inventory, they will be added to the bill.
